Job Description: Sales of medium and heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
Job Objective: Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. Develops & implements agreed upon Marketing Plan which will meet goals of expanding customer base in the marketing area. Works within the sales & support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, generation of sales & long-term relationship goals in line with company vision & values.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sales of medium and heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
- Demonstrates technical selling skills & product knowledge that allows Sales Associate to give effective presentation of trucks & equipment.
- Complete understanding of pricing of trucks and equipment.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners & decision makers.
- Maintain and expand the database of prospects.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their trucking and equipment needs.
- Develops a database of qualified leads through existing data base, referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email & networking.
- Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
- Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales & prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales & follow-up activities within their assigned territory.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

Job Specifications and Personal Skills:
- 2-5 years of experience in sales within the trucking industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of customer relationship dynamics.
- Proven ability to achieve sales objectives.
- Demonstrates excellence in verbal, written, telephone personality and time management skills.
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
- Should be honest, assertive and systematic.
Requires valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
